“ We visited Le Sorelle in our local village to sample their Easter Afternoon Tea. This is a family run coffee shop that has recently opened up just outside the town centre of Huddersfield. They serve freshly brewed coffee, homemade treats that are baked in-house and a rotating menu of savoury bites and sandwiches that changes weekly. We love our savoury options so was pleasantly surprised to see that you got a whole stand of these in the Afternoon Tea. One thing owner Amy doesnt shy away from and thats flavour- everything was just bold in taste. We love that she also isnt afraid to pair together more daring combos of ingredients. Also they literally made everything except the bread themselves! There was nothing we didnt enjoy but our highlights included a Brie and Mango Parcel that had a light flaky crust with heap of creamy rich brie paired against the sweet fruity chutney. A gorgeous Sausage Roll flavoured with a sweet tomato and a subtle kick of heat. Hummus Bagel- the sharpness of feta mixed with a bold hit of hummus and a sweet chilli sauce to bring it altogether was perfect. The Chicken Gyro featured a fresh peppery salad and a generous helping of chicken all complimented by a cool mint Tzatziki. From the desserts, we loved the seasonal twist on a classic Scone and the super tart and citrusy Lemon Pie. They also do special evening events and we attended the first one featuring live acoustic music and pizzas in the outside pop-up tent. This place is a really great addition to our local village and it was nice to see it constantly busy all evening. Drinks were reasonably priced and there was even a happy hour earlier on. The singers were absolutely fantastic with great voices and excellent taste in music. We had a really enjoyable time and will be back again soon ”
